There is no sign-up, no email address, and no password. Nothing you do here is attached to an identity, because there is no identity to attach it to.
What is stored
The video pages that have been read recently are cached on this server for a few hours so that repeating a link does not re-fetch it. That cache holds public video titles, qualities and sizes. It holds nothing about who asked for them.
The web server keeps ordinary request logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period for abuse handling and debugging. They are not combined with anything else and are not sold or shared.
What is not stored
- The media you download. It streams through and is never written to disk here.
- A history of what you looked up.
- Advertising or analytics identifiers. This site runs no advertising and no third-party analytics.
Cookies
None are set. Your theme choice is kept in your own browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
The source site
Downloads are fetched by this server, not by your browser, so thisvid.com never sees your address. It does see this server's.
